You guys know how I feel about this constant release of “rebooted” material from Hollywood. Now a new reboot is has taken a significant step towards completion.
Robert Rodriguez’s reboot of Predator has finally completed its cast. The list of actors will be headed by Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody. Another rumored addition is Topher Grace, who will play the role of an accountant who is actually a lethal serial killer.
Other actors confirmed to be included in Predators include Rodriguez regular Danny Trejo, Walton Goggins, Alice Braga, Oleg Taktarov, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, and Louiz Ozawa.
Predators will be directed by Hungarian director Nimrod Antal, who directed last year’s Vacancy.

October 15th, 2009 at 8:38 pmI have to say….What is up with this constant regurgitation of old stuff. Has Hollydud finally given up and completely thrown in the towel on new movies? They sure seem to. This year is the most profitable and best performing year yet, and as of last year, last years was the most profitable ever. So why are they acting like they don’t have money to invest and take chances with. They are absolutely flush with money. They aren’t buying Indies at Sundance, and they are just forcing us loyal movie-goers to watch regurge. Not only are they bringing back all these movies for part 4 and 5 etc, but the new movies only focus on redo’s of old ideas and stories. How many Vampire, undead Zombie, and possessed horror movies can we all put up with. There used to be other inventive ideas. And don’t even get me started on Comedies. Crap like Couples Retreat? Give me a break. Four Christmas’ – Groan. Why can’t we have anything like Ferris Bueller, or Breakfast Club anymore? I know John Hughes just died, but stlll, there have to be other good comedy writers out there.
Hollydud has also said they will no longer do higher profile dramas with high paid actors, since movies like Duplicity and State of Play, and several others this year did go DUD! Well some of these are the best movies ever. If I can’t look forward to another movie as good as Enemy of the State, I guess I will have to start putting my movie dollars elswhere (and believe me, I put a lot of movie dollars into the biz).
Just tired of the lazy minded idiots heading up the Hollywood game.
Anyone in agreement?
