It’s Alice in Wonderland and the trailer is here! The trailer captures the “Alice in Wonderland” we all read as a youngster so perfectly that it leave me with the very same feelings I felt then – awe with a tinge of fear. Ok so I felt more than just a tinge of fear when I was little (Read my post Alice in Wonderland’s Wondrous Pictures) but the good thing about the trailer is that at least it inspires more wonderment than fear. No need for me to keep on going because you can watch the video below.

If you haven’t seen “Alice in Wonderland’s” trailer yet I wonder what your waiting for?

Excited? Then better start preparing for that all important date because we’ve got plenty of waiting time. Alice in Wonderland won’t be out till March next year.

What’s new with this movie is that it will be in 3D. Knowing Pixar we can prepare for one hell of a 3D experience. Story-wise the writers didn’t do a cop out and made sure they came up with a very interesting albeit somewhat upsetting storyline. Like the little kids who first watched the movie 14 years ago Andy has grown up and is going off to college. This leaves Woody, Buzz and the rest of the toys no space in his life. Fortunately or unfortunately, we don’t know yet which until we see the movie or Disney releases another trailer that will actually reveal something about the story, Andy decides to leave the toys in a daycare center where other kids can get to play with them. From that we can only imagine all the kind of kids the toys can encounter and all the adventures the toys can have.

If you have any kids or enjoyed the movie a decade ago this is one movie to watch out for. The movie is set to be released on June 2010 so there’s plenty of time to wait. In the meantime you can watch the latest Toy Story 3 teaser trailer though you won’t get much there because it doesn’t show anything about the story. Something we’re used to when it comes to Pixar trailers. Enjoy!

For those that are getting really tired of the long wait despite the trailers that have come out to distract us from the fact that this movie should have been out by November last year, there’s a very little bit of good news. The movie release has actually been move up – but only by two days. So now the final release is set to be on July 15th, a Wednesday.

Late or not, lots of trailers or not, what we can be sure about is that come summer it will be hitting the box office big time. And though this trailer may be the last one, or not, what with the release still 3 months away, we can be sure that fans all over the world will be tuned in for the latest news on the latest Harry Potter movie. Let’s just hope it doesn’t suffer from a leak like Wolverine did!

Star Trek has always been cool but you just have to see the trailer to see why it’s gotten even cooler. I do hope the movie doesn’t disappoint. For now though the verdict is that Star Trek is making a huge comeback. Props to JJ Abrams for managing to revitalize the movie…or at least the trailer. Hopefully the trailer editors didn’t do too good a job making the trailer tons better than the actual movie.

The cast also helps with Chris Pine as James T Kirk, Zachary Quinto as the young Spock (That alone makes the movie worth watching! Sorry but I’m obviously a fan.), Leonard Nimoy as the old Spock, Zoe Saldana as Uhura, Eric Bana (another one for the ladies) as Nero, and Winona Ryder as Amanda Grayson.

The movie premieres May 8. Come May I will surely be dragging people with me to see the movie. My guess though is that the dragging part won’t be necessary once my friends see the trailer.

Terminator Salvation isn’t set to come out till May but everyone’s already really excited about the movie thanks to director Manuel Balce Ceneta McG’s panel discussion during the movie trailer’s premiere at WonderCon last Saturday.

The movie is still very much in the works with some key elements still unsettled such as the appearance of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton and what role their icon characters will take in the movie. What is settled though is that the movie will be more about the story than the action sequences. It goes back to the question of humanity and according to McG asks, “Where does humanity lie? If you have an artificial hip, or an artificial heart, you’re still human, right? Well, where does that line end up being drawn? We’re flirting with the point now to where it’s not necessarily science fiction anymore. It is a real issue and part of what this film does is explore that question.” This movie, as Anton Telchin (Kyle Reese) puts it “honors the legacy of those first two movies.”

I say great news for Terminator fans that were sorely disappointed with the last movie (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines). Terminator Salvation is out to redeem the Terminator name and it seems like it’s going to do just that.

DVRs. Tivo and cable company DVRs are becoming more and more popular, and as they do, advertising for movies becomes less and less effective. Not only do people skip the commercials, but more over, sometimes people don’t watch the shows until days after they air. If a studio spends big money on a Thursday night movie push, and the viewer doesn’t see it until that next week, then the money they spend on advertising the day before release is effectively waisted.

I can see the point of the movie studio…and I think all the free advertising on online sites probably helps…I mean, I don’t know about you, but I watch trailers all the time…heck I post trailers here all the time..and the studio isn’t paying a DIME for that.

Free online advertising isn’t the only reason to be sure, but when you factor in the time factor of Network TV ads, and the lower cost of online advertising, and for several movie studios…network ads just don’t make sense.

Finally, we have the movie trailer for the Angelina Jolie film A Mighty Heart, check it out here.

A Mighty Heart is the film about kidnapped & murdered Wall Street Journal journalist Daniel Pearl  & his wife Marianne.  Jennifer Aniston was reportedly lined up for the film which was produced under Brad Pitt’s production company.  But then there was that big Hollywood split & it looks like Angelina got the role.

A Mighty Heart debuts in U.S. theaters June 22.

Click star Adam Sandler is rather busy not only supporting his new movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, but also defending the film’s message.

The movie, which is set to be released in July, is about two firemen (Sandler & Kevin James) pretending to be a gay couple so they can get domestic partnership benefits.

Regardless of the movie being slammed left & right by gay & lesbian rights activists, Sandler insists that there is “nothing wrong” with the movie’s message.

“This movie says there’s nothing wrong with being gay. There’s just something wrong with being gay for Kevin James.”

Then what about the Adam Sandler character then?

I think I speak for all of us when I say that Steve Carell is now on our favorite people list.  Which is why I made it a priority this morning to get out this new Evan Almighty movie trailer to you, see it here now.

In the film, Carell takes on the role of a newscaster that has recently been elected by Congress & is apparently anointed by God to accomplish some holy missions.  Hopefully Carell can pick up the slack that Jim Carrey left in Bruce Almighty, though not really a daunting task there.

Let me just set the stage for you, in 2002 two rival Olympic medal winners were permanently banned from the men’s single competition for fighting on stage & setting a random mascot on fire.  Oops.

Now the rivals must become one, as they have found a loophole in the system that will allow them to regain their claim to fame, or something.  Will Ferrell & Jon Heder (as if there wasn’t a life after Napoleon Dynamite, how dare you!) star in the upcoming film by directors Josh Gordon & Will Speck, Blades of Glory.

I still don’t know why they made a Resident Evil 3, so I can’t be held liable for knowing why they’ve gone ahead & made a fourth installment entitled,  Resident Evil: Extinction.   See movie trailer here.

The Russell Mulcahy-directed horror film (whose tagline is: Experimentation…Evolution…Extinction more) takes place with the survivors of the Racoon City (lamest name ever!) event travel across the Nevada desert, just hoping they can make it to Alaska.  Mill Jovovich didn’t seem like she had anything better to do, as she stars in this fourth (and hopefully last) Resident Evil installment.

Directed by Joel Schumacher, actors Virginia Madsen & Danny Huston assist Carrey in trying to make this film believable.  Good luck with that one, I say.

The Number 23 focuses on a middle-aged man (Carrey) whose life begins to unravel when he comes into contact with a book entitled, “The Number 23″.  As the character reads more of the obsessive book he finds himself further convinced that it is based on his life.  So, the movie is kinda like Stranger Than Fiction, except it’s not too funny, but then again Will Ferrell’s Stranger wasn’t very much either.

Well, we’ve waiting a long time to see the best of the best of The Simpsons Movie trailers & now it’s finally here.

Behold the newest & greatest The Simpsons Movie trailer yet.  It was our favorite animated show for years, now it’s a movie with a cast of thousands of animated characters.

But hang in there, we still have to wait until July 27 to see this marvelous movie.

When directors Quentin Tarantino & Robert Rodriguez team up, we are always all-freeking-ears. Grindhouse, the newest team work by Tarantino & Rodriguez will be presented in the old grindhouse way, with two full-length movies, horror-style.

If you don’t know what a grindhouse was, it was basically an old school movie theater that would run movies back to back & never omit any graphic or sexual scenes. Sounds like my kind of place. Tarantino will present us with his latest film, Death Proof, while Rodriguez brings us Planet Terror. I’m way too excited about this for my own good!

And guess what, the trailer for Grindhouse is finally here & I know you can’t wait to watch, so here you are. Enjoy!
