Mulder fans will kill me for saying this but I really think that Gillian Anderson is the more talented actor
between her and David Duchovny. That’s why I find it so disappointing that she just disappeared after The X-Files concluded.

Fortunately, The X-Files movie sequel may have reignited her passion for acting. She is reportedly going to star in and produce a biopic on the life of Martha Gellhorn a pioneering female war correspondent who managed to gain coverage of the various conflicts from the Spanish Civil War to Vietnam while also trying to juggle her personal relationships, including a marriage to Ernest Hemingway. Anderson will play the title role in the movie.

No word yet on possible release dates.

If there’s one director who is frequently involved in sequel rumors it has got to Sam Raimi. A number of projects he has been involved with have been the constant fodder for speculations of follow-up movies. Fortunately, Raimi has officially spoken and we can now dismiss many of the rumors surrounding his movies.

With regards to the Spider-Man sequel, Raimi said that writer James Vanderbilt is about to finish the script to the next sequel. Raimi has gone on to say that he is excited to read the script and he hopes that it is good enough that he will want to be involved again. he also hopes that Sony will be of the same mind and will want to hire him for a possible sequel. In other words, everything is still up in the air.

The Evil Dead remake, on the other hand, is still stalled. Raimi said that they are interested to do the project but he hasn’t been able to do anything with regards to the project. As far as the possibility of having a 30 Days of Night sequel, this project is, for all intents and purposes, dead in the water.

Seth Rogen, the star of Knocked Up and writer of Superbad, is hard at work writing the script for the Green Hornet movie. Rogen is again writing it with his partner Evan Goldberg (Both wrote the script for Superbad). This time around Rogen will also star in the movie as the Green Hornet. As for the role of Kato, Rogen is eyeing Stephen Chow. He said that based on the way the script is developing, they will need a guy who can do martial arts but also maintain a great sense of humor. Chow is the perfect fit for that description.

Word of warning to Rogen though. He should be prepared to get upstaged by the enormously talented Chow.

Cult film fans will likely remember one of the seminal “monster/sci-fi” flicks of the seventies, Attack of The Killer Tomatoes. The movie has been the perennial choice of many film geeks as one of the silliest and yet most enjoyable movies ever made. It practically redefined camp for a whole new generation of pop culture fans.

Now, the new generation will experience the killer tomato phenomenon with the announcement that it is going to be remade.

Ask a Ninja creators Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine are currently writing the script, with Nichols directing the movie. The guy who handled the remakes for both Day of The Dead and Terror Train — M. Dal Walton III — acquired the rights for the film and he will co produce it with Emmett/Furla Films.

We can only hope that these guys give the killer tomatoes justice.

The title of the new James Bond movie has finally been revealed.

The sci-fi sounding Quantum of Solace will be the title of the 22nd film in the long running franchise on the debonair spy. The title was actually lifted from one of Ian Fleming’s collection of short stories that was published way back in 1960. In this new film, Bond is out to seek revenge and the plot directly follows from Casino Royale. In this movie, Bond will learn more about Vesper as well as more of the reasons why she betrayed him.

The newest Bond girl for this newest installment is Ukrainian born model Olga Kurylenko.
