The news is in. Screenwriter/director Rian Johnson (pictured) has chosen The Pianist‘s Adrien Brody & Oscar nominee Rinko Kikuchi to join The Constant Gardener‘s Rachel Weisz in the upcoming film The Brothers Bloom. The movie surrounds an international con-man & is Johnson’s follow-up to 2005’s Brick.
Brody is set to play Bloom who is the younger brother in a team of con men who falls for the sexy millionaire Weisz. The tables turn on the last job when Bloom threatens to quit the family business. Babel’s Kikuchi will be taking on the role of the brother’s attractive & secretive accomplice. Doesn’t sound too bad, eh?
The production company is scheduled to start filming March 19 with shots in 12 different European countries as well as Asia. Well, you know I like international shots & this one sounds like it might actually be a winner.
What do you think- Is The Brothers Bloom going to be a stand-out good movie?
