Manoj Night Shyamalan’s fans, if there are any left, have something to be happy about. M. Night has joined hands with UTV & 20th Century Fox to make a mystery film called The Happening.
Ronnie Screwvala from UTV is a little worried about the already high costs of the film, but knows they’re in good hands with Shyamalan.
“I got to know that Shayamalan was looking for a co-producer. It’s going to be a huge budget, but it will be fantastic if there was an Indian connection on both sides,” states Screwvala.
“It’s a paranoia movie,” reveals Shyamalan about The Happening. M. Night wanted to tackle a film like Hitchcock’s The Birds where you not only make the audience paranoid in the theater but after they leave as well.
Well, here’s hoping this one’s a heck of a lot better than Lady in the Water, am I right?

March 18th, 2007 at 2:23 pmEven if it is as bad as Lady in the Water or The Village, M. Night will just say we don’t understand the deeper meaning in the movie. I haven’t seen all his movies, but the only one I enjoyed was The Sixth Sense. All the others are crap.
