It was not a series of losses to Arturo Gatti. He won the first fight and lost the second two by decision. Even in losing the third fight, Ward was able to send Gatti to the canvas. The fights are available on Youtube and Google video. It might be a good idea to actually watch them before commenting on a fighter’s record. The title is also very appropriate for the movie and any true Ward fan knows why. Listen to “the warriors code,” by the Dropkick Murphies and you will understand why the movie is title “THE fighter.”
