No, David. You are incorrect. She did not abandon her son. I have a son and an daughter and our children (Chris has a daughter also) grew up together. When my daughter learned that supposedly Jacqui abandoned her children, she said, “That’s curious. I actually don’t remember Chris’ dad being around much.” I am certain if you speak to younger Chris as well as their daughter, you would get an entirely different perspective.

Nobody likes to think of themselves as being ‘bad parents’ or bad people, but bottom line, she DID abandon both Chris and her son. Truth hurts, especially when it’s about yourself.

Like most Hollywood type movies, many things, are distorted and the truth at times, does not have enough of the “glitz” tp appeal to the movie going public. The movie did portray Jackie Medina as a overworked and frustrated young lady but I did not get the feeling at all she was sex obsessing or a cruel Mom. I sensed from the movie, she also loved Chris Jr. but felt that Chris Sr. would have the chance of providing a better life for Chris Jr. as bad as his circumstances were.
