You’re really missing the point of this movie. It IS an homage to Police Squad and the popular but underrated tv show, Sledge Hammer. It’s not supposed to make sense, save to serve up the humor. The action is SUPPOSED to be over the top and ridiculous… the dialogue is SUPPOSED to be trite… the love story is SUPPOSED to be insane.

I’m really disappointed in your low score, but kudos to your brother for at least having the good taste to purchase one of the lost hits of the 80′s.

Perhaps… just perhaps… you need to watch this puppy again. It’s the kind of movie that you may not quite “get” the first viewing… which is part of it’s charm. Every bizaar little quirk of this movie is comedy gold… from the explosive chili-con cookie to the garbage men who look in horror at the street of dead crooks, only to start laughing insanely before the end of the shot.

My grade? A campy A+. Shakespearian cheese at it’s finest.

I have Traxx on the original VHS tape and it’s the greatest film ever made!

You forgot to mention the bit near the start where he is cooking and he doesn’t know how to crack an egg so he just punches it. You might not notice that the first time round.

And how the A is holding a gun up to the X on the cover? genius

And the bit where he kind of jumps down through the building from the roof to the ground floor? I have no idea how to decribe that any better.

And all the flavours of cookies he makes?

Maybe I’m your brother’s friend? I have lots of these stupid films, you should try Slugs or The Doorway, they’re crap like this, in a good way
