alright, I’m American, so it’s not like we’re are stupid yanks because I’m furious, too. (Then again, I’m an Irish citizen, too ^_^) Maybe I’m a purist, but as if the Harry Potter series wasn’t mutilated enough to satisfy them, now they’re butchering a film series right in the middle of it? It’ll be as bad as watching dubbed anime and will completely throw everything off! I understand the benefits in that the lazy a**holes who won’t read subtitles might go see it now, but really, Hollywood? Really??! Haven’t you slaughtered enough good stories? Feckin idiots

I’ve seen some rushes………they’re AMAZING! Better than the first Matrix.
KFOF for sure! This film is going to blow your minds. It fits in perfectly with the other ones. NPI (no pun intended). Can’t wait to see more.!

I loved the first 2 films and still do, and i do feel slightly sad they are making the 3rd in english but regardless of the change of language i will probably still love this one because i love horror/scifi/fantasy films and cannot think of one i hate apart from that crappy girly twilight film where the vampire falls in love i mean what the fuck.

p.s. anyone have any idea when T.Watch is coming out or what the sweet music from the other films are?

I speak Russian and English. Being American, I decided to study at the Moscow State University so I could learn Russian. I remember the day I saw Night Watch in Walmart. I was like a little kid in a candy shop when I saw a Russian movie sold there.

Then I waited for the next installation of Day Watch. In fact, I am re-watching it in Russian as I write this. I’ve enjoyed both movies and hopefully the 3rd installation will be just as good. I know I will buy it so I can add it to the series but if they fumble the 3rd one, I wouldn’t hope for the last one to come out so well. It is a tetralogy. I hope they do what they have done with the 2 previous by being consistent with the actors. I prefer hearing it in Russian and if I need to, I turn on the English subtitles which I know isn’t the best translation source.

And for the record, Fox has been involved in Night and Day Watch.

‘Rock-on Phoenix’ imho i dont think people are jumping to conclusions, it is well known that ‘Big America’ cock-up some good movies in comparison to japenese horror, anime etc. to change the basics/foundations of this movie, will just be a ‘Big America’ waste of time in putting any (part 1,2 or 3) of this story onto film screens, meaning it will just WRECK ALL OF IT!! (maybe that is secretly the aim-who knows?)

also changing the dialect form RUSSIAN TO AMERICAN is simply…BULLSHIT
the movie and storyline are strong enough

LMAO – i couldn’t care either way what language its in… but then, i guess that’s a real fan huh.. Obviously the movie makers went with the majority of watchers – if more Americans watch the movie, we actually get to watch it now instead of read it – and the minority gets to read it – i am just glad there not speaking Spanish

Look if as I do you love these films then think for a second how many more people are going to discover it now. The previous releases will not have had such a wide release for being marketed as “foreign” (although some of us prefer such films due to Holywood sucking so bad). The actors and director deserve some respect, let them get on with making their film. Let’s see how it turns out, I think it will be great.

What??? This has to be a joke. I think J has it right. Some A** thinks they can make more money off it in English. Same guy who has no idea or care what the fans think. Would never read this or listen to someone who has. Like many of you I have been checking in online every few months to see when it is coming out for years. Now I want to rage. Futile…dang it!!
What are the Russians doing. What has kept them from making it. Surely it grossed enough for them to have it done. Why are they changing it? This has to be a joke..ha ha…got me good.

Listen, nothing that we say or do here is going to change anything. I love watching foreign films, and part of what I loved about this series so far is that they went the extra mile to make the subtitles an integral part of the movie. Not just something you read, but that they moved and changed and curled like smoke or like blood in the water. The text wasn’t just pasted on, care and attention to detail made it a fully ingrained stylized accent to the film. Lot’s of people won’t watch a subtitled movie. Lot’s of people won’t read a book unless there’s a test, or unless someone made a movie of it.

Listen I’m not going to learn Russian just so I can more authentically read the book, and when the third installment comes out I’m definitely going to see it.
