News: Affleck and Damon Together Again

February 8, 2006 by NinjaInTraining

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have signed on to star in a Touchstone movie together. The movie is about a couple of lawyers who took on a cose pro-bono that ended up lasting 15 years. They spent that time getting stays of execution on the death row inmate they were defending. The movie is almost guaranteed to be a flop with Ben Affleck. He never should’ve dated J-Lo

News: Batman Begins Gets Oscar Nomination

February 1, 2006 by NinjaInTraining

That’s right, super hero flying bats can receive Oscars too! The nominations are out and Batman Begins is up for Best Cinematography, the most prestigious category of them all. Well, not really, but it’s still kind of cool. Looking over the Oscar list, this looks to be a very boring year for the awards. While I like most of the movies and actors on the list, none of the movies stand out to a ninja. The only movie that kind of stands out is Walk the Line. That’s only because Johnny Cash tried to dress like a ninja with his little all-black outfit, but he could never pull off the whole thing. A ninja must never show his face. The only “man in black” I know is my teacher, OnePumpedNinja.

News: ‘X-Men 3’

January 26, 2006 by NinjaInTraining

I was browsing through movie news, and it looks like X3 might be the last X-Men movie to be made. Tom Rothman, the head of Fox Studio had this to say….

X-Men: The Last Stand, it’s is the conclusion of this trilogy. These three movies work as a trilogy. These characters in this relationship, it’s the culminaton of that saga. It’s the culmination and the resolution of those relationships laid out in the first two movies. That doesn’t mean never, I would ever say never again but I will say that this brings that saga to an end. It’s quite the way the last Lord of the Rings, Return of the King, brought that trilogy to a conclusion in terms of those characters, that’s what this movie does. It goes all the way back to the first one and rounds off and completes that three part story.

Who knows though, he says there won’t be another, but if this one makes enough money I doubt they’d turn down the right script for a fourth. Can’t wait to see X3 this summer. It’ll be good to complete the story that has been started with the first 2.

Here’s the full interview with Tim Rothman.

News: No Toy Story 3 For Now

January 26, 2006 by NinjaInTraining

Yahoo News reports that apparently, any possibly work being done on another sequel in the Toy Story series has been cancelled for the time being…..

One immediate sign of Lasseter’s influence is that plans for Disney to make the long rumored sequel “Toy Story 3” on its own have been scrapped. If the film is made, it will be done by Lasseter and the other creators of the original film, the companies said.

The first 2 Toy Story movies were great, I’d love to see another one. However, it’s nice to know they won’t make it just because they can. Glad to see they have the willpower to wait until they’ve actually got a good script.

January 25, 2006 by NinjaInTraining

CNN has an article up on the can’t miss movies of this year. Looking over the article, there are a lot of movies to look forward to including Superman Returns(Superman is a ninja), X3, Casino Royale(the next Bond flick), and more. Anyway, they’ve outlined pretty much every movie that should be decent over the next year, so check it out.
