Universal Pictures to Develop Milli Vanilli Movie

Wow.  So it looks like Milli Vanilli will too get a movie immortalizing them, such as Ray did for Ray Charles & Walk the Line for Johnny Cash.  Except in Milli Vanilli’s case, is it really all that interesting?

According to the Daily Variety, none other than Universal Pictures is in the process of developing a film about the lip-synching duo who lost their Grammy for Best New Artist in 1990 when it was leaked that they never really sang their songs.  Can you say, oops?!

Jeff Nathanson, the writer of Leonardo DiCaprio’s Catch Me if You Can, is said to be working on the project already.

“I’ve always been fascinated by the notion of fakes and frauds, and in this case, you had guys who pulled off the ultimate con, selling 30 million singles and 11 million albums and then becoming the biggest laughing-stocks of pop entertainment,” Nathanson stated.

Well, good luck in filling up about 1.5 hours of that content & making it interesting.

What do you think- Would you watch a Milli Vanilli movie?
