Borat’s Sacha Baron Cohen Being Sued Again

January 31, 2007 by Allison

sacha-baron-cohen-borat-lawsuit-1-31-07.jpgIt’s nothing new for Sacha Baron Cohen, he’s being sued again.  Poor guys, it’s just not his year or two.  Cohen is facing yet another lawsuit regarding his character Borat Sagdiyev.  This time around, the suit is from an Israeli comedian who says that Borat stole his signature line.  If his signature line is, ‘Dammit, I’m getting sued again!’ then maybe he does have something on the British comedian.

Dovale Glickman has all the intentions of suing Cohen for copyright infringement, accusing Sacha of stealing his phrase, “Wa wa wee wa,” which Glickman states is his line.

Geez with that kind of copyright infringement going on I better watch my “Ba wa wa wa,” because apparently that might belong to someone!

Glickman goes on to claim that he coined the phrase 16 years ago for a character on a hit Israeli show & that Cohen should pay damages for stealing his phrase.

Wow.  What a case.

You tell me- Does this Dovale Glickman have a leg to stand on in suing Sacha Baron Cohen for stealing his “Wa wa wee wa”?
