Every year we suffer the loss of another great artist in the world of thespians. Sometimes it feels as though our beloved stars have lived their lives to the fullest, and sometimes it feels as if the world was cheated out of the experience of a beautiful creation. Either way, each and every life deserves the respect and honor of remembrance. Here is a quick overview of a few beloved actors the world lost this year.

Leonard Nimoy

Leonard Nimoy

Many people from this generation are very familiar with the work of Leonard Nimoy. He is the beloved Spock from several of the Star Trek movies and the television series. Leonard Nimoy devoted over fifty years of his life to the screen. He will forever be remembered as one of the most iconic characters in the history of the big screen.

Christopher Lee

This amazing man lived until the age of ninety three. He most certainly had a full life. Well known for his part in The Lord Of The Rings series as Saruman, Christopher Lee died this year after having respiratory troubles and an extended hospital stay. Villain enthusiast around the world lost a key player this year. Along with The Lord Of The Rings series and The Hobbit movies, he actually began his career with the role of Dracula.

Wes Craven

Freddy Krueger lovers everywhere cried a tear for his family when Wes Craven passed this year. The world lost an amazing artist and creator for sure this year. He will forever be immortalized in his portraits and paintings. Art dealers, like Park West Gallery, should definitely get on top of this tragedy, and turn it into an opportunity to memorialize the great Wes Craven. Simply the presence of his face will always make a statement about who he was as a writer and artist.

Vincent Margera

He wasn’t a film star, but he was most definitely a beloved character for those of us that love Viva La Bam. Better known as Don Vito, Vincent Margera was one of Bam’s closest family members. He may have made a living giving Don Vito hell, but everyone knows they loved eachother very much. Margera died on November 15, 2015 from a long battle with his liver and kidneys failing. He may have died young, but he had a very fulfilling life.
Robin Williams

Robin Williams may have physically passed away last year, but the love we all hold inside our hearts for the film star will never die. There’s just can’t be a list of honorable mentions in film without Robin Williams. He was so loved by his friend, family, and fans. It was said by one of his close friends, “I wonder if Robin had known what he was taking away from us, if he would still be gone.” She was pointing out the burning desire Williams always had to make light in the lives of others.
